Poet, author for television, musician, writer, he has been for decades a leading figure in the Italian show business. Winner of nine Telegatti as a television writer, playwright. Author of about five hundred songs (Depsa composed at the age of eighteen” Champagne”, sung by Peppino di Capri, which is one of the most famous Italian songs in the world). He participated in twenty-three stakes at the Sanremo Festival (one win and three second places, one of these with the “genius” Ray Charles) : short,Depsa is a complete artist. For years his versatility has revealed itself through visual work, mainly drawings, telling on papers and canvas his emotions. A creative world, only now advertised, despite a period of the first studies in Naples and Milan, and an acquaintance with the painter Pietro Arrigoni, who has greatly inspired. He calls his works “songs and pencil”: these are verses without rhyme, words without alphabet, music to be looked at, tales told by the faces of his characters, people of all races and of all ages taken at forefront, with narrating eyes, sometimes shouting but never quiet.
“Depsa Art Gallery” it’s mainly a gallery of everyday heroes, coming from the five continents who, however, speak the same language with the same voice: “the voice of looks”.
